  • Well?
"middleweight fighter Chris Leben was today sentenced to 35 days in jail and will be released on May 27, 2008 (he gets credit for time already served), which would give him only 12 days until his scheduled showdown with Michael Bisping at UFC 85: “Bedlam” at the O2 Arena in London, England, on June 7.

It was apparently too close for comfort, forcing to the promotion to scrap the bout, according to WrestlingObserver.com.

No replacement for Leben is known at this time."

“The Crippler” turned himself in to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office in Portland, Oregon, on April 30 because of an old Driving Under the Influence (DUI) probation violation. He did so to obtain a travel visa overseas, but it appears that things did not work out according to plan"

I love watching Leben fight.  He brings it every time.  A scrapper that loves to bang and in the last year has managed to become more rounded.  Win or lose he always has exciting wars.  The guy takes punishment and doesn't give up.

I use to despise the guy for being such a cocky shit.  I loved when Andersen annihilated him.  But, he was humbled and came back.

I agree, when Silva beat his ass I was fucking stoked.  That was so fun to watch, the classy Spider beating the balls out of the obnoxious loud mouth.

None the less, I like watching Leben fight and I was looking forward to his fight with Bisping.  I actually would have been rooting for Leben in that one, for sure.

Leben has changed his attitude around 180 degres. If you read some of his latest interviews he even says he used to be a punk. He knows understands that he has an opportunity to work with kids and everything else. I can't remember who he teaches classes for, but the guy was shocked when Leben was the top guy reffered to him, but he will even tell you that Leben is a new person... I actually like the guy know. He always leaves everything on the mat, and now without his mouth, I wish him the best.
