forearms are indirected hit when doing anything for the upper body. the best way to get bigger forearms is to train with nothing helping your  grip. in other words, no straps and only grip with your hands.

I haven't done forearms in years. when I did, i proform reverse bb curls and standing wrist curls. with forearms your really limited in movements. I find that doing  normal bicep movements works for me like hammer curls and etc

I can honestly say I have never directly trained forearms in my life. Why people do this I do not know.

I just do back work without any straps. And occasionally throw in some reverse curls with db's or the EZ bar.
No doubt about it...

Either two sets of reverse wrist curls or two sets of hammer curls,  these are usually compounded into my last two sets of bicep work.

It drives me crazy when some lazy ass says "I don't work forearms directly ,  there's no need to"  ...muscles in the forearm can be contracted the same as any other muscle..therefore, correctly place the targeted muscle(s) under resistance and contract them....they will strengthen and GROW!!!!!!!!!!!Either do it or don't do it..but don't bitch about how you can't develop your forearms...Christ sake! >:(

Using the Wrist roll (heard it called other names), where you use a dowel with a light rope attached in the center. At the end of the rope is a BB plate. Just grip the dowel with an overhand grip and roll up the weight to the top. At times use a underhand grip. Arms are usually held straight out. But can have the elbows against the sides, forming a 90 degress angle with the forearms. If you want more pain from this exercise than stand on a box, bench, etc with a longer rope attached. Try for 2 or 3 cycles of this exercise.

If anyone has never done this before, you are in for a great big surprise at how hard it can be. Getting beyond the pain and fire in the forearms is half the fun. The other half is the unbelieveable pump. Can buy different size dowels in any hardware store. Might want to have a normal size one (for your hand grip) and a  thick one for developing extra gripping power.  Good Luck.

Who's bitching? I didn't see anyone bitching anywhere in this thread.
I don't work forearms that often. Big fucking deal.

I hear ya.  I hate the excuse crap too.  "I'm sick", "I'm weak", bla bla bla.  Just lift your heart out every time you go to the gym, regardless of your personal problems, and you'll do fine.
