a good fighter should be able to fight under any rules and in any organization. pride didnt "make" fighers no more than ufc did. if we want to discuss what makes a fighter we need to go beyond the ufc vs pride stuff and start to analyse and discuss training methods, different camps, coaches etc in great detail. however that requires quite a bit more than just to spit out "pride rules"

Some people will never grasp that concept.  case in point BlowjobFury.

They are original Pride fighters.  My point is Pride no longer exists, yet there are still a handful of bitter UFC haters hopelessly grasping to the "good old Pride days".  Pride is dead.  Nothing more than a footnote in the history of MMA ;D

I don't think that rules make the fighters any better that is for sure.. I do think that the switch from ring to cage could be a little differant, but shouldn't make a great fighter a can....

I agree, rules don't make fighters any better.  Some rules from Pride I prefer such as knees on the ground, soccer kicks and the issuing of yellow cards for stalling.  One of the greatest difficulties faced by a fighter transition from a ring to a cage is angle of attack.  A ring lends itself to forward movement while a cage is better suited for circular movements which is excellent for counter punchers and more importantly ground guys but terrible for forward moving brawlers.  There are also less angles to cut in a ring with it being a square and having four corners.  You get stuck in the corner of a ring deep in the crevice and your going to have a hard time getting out.   I can see how a fighter who has fought in a ring for the majority of his fights and is a striker having a hard time transitioning to a cage and could become disoriented.   A fighter like Cro Cop who decided that he didn't need to train in a cage made a fatal mistake and his performance showed the results of his lack of preparedness.  The best remedy besides training in a cage and developing a sense of direction would be to keep the action in the center of the ring.  These are just my observations.

Pride fighters control 3 of the UFC's 5 belts, one belt didn't have a class in Pride and Pride fighters comprise the top 3 HW fighters.  :D

You are the biggest baby I've ever met. Do you honestly like sucking Dana's dick THAT much? Time to grow up, Peter Pan.  :D

Must you always resort to fabricating facts, attacking the character and confusing the issue whenever you attempt to win an argument ::)

The FACT is Pride doesn't exist.  It was swallowed by the UFC.

Another FACT is that I am not a UFC or Dana guy.  I am an MMA fan and enjoy watching the best fights regardless of the organization.

And a final FACT is that you are a closet homo who secretly wishes Fedor would manhandle you and finish you off in a triangle choke.  Just look at the shit you right abut him.  ::)

... Fedor is a titan. Conqueror. Vanquisher of mortals.

I take pride knowing I've caused a 45 year old wannabe cage fighter to melt so badly. Can you say "mid life crisis," Yemeni?

Best get out the .45 and put it to your temple. That Affliction card is better than anything the UFC has put on the last 1.5 years.  :D

serious question: were you born with that bucked-toothed grin, or is it the result of years of cock-sucking.

Calm down 45 year old. So what if you're suffering a mid life crisis and having trouble aging gracefully. I'm sure you could blow your way to win the 205 belt!!!

Bruised ego, SUP!!!!!! Time to grow up, Peter Pan.

You and I both know that in every conceivable way to measure success, I beat you hands down now or when I was your age.  Stop being so bitter and just be happy with what you have...life is too short.

Could you be any more bitter? You conduct yourself like an 8 year old on here. Snowboarding, trying to be a cage fighter, making internet threats. Grow up, kid. You're 45 years old give or take, try acting like it?

I hope that when I'm as old and withered as you that I'll have better things to do than argue with 21 year olds on internet forums. Maybe you should pick another cage fight with a random Getbiggers?  :D

Likewise. I said this before for someone else but it fits here too. Just like Nicholson says in The Departed, "Mindspin, that Colombian prick? All I gotta do is give him a whiff of my ass and he comes crawling." 90% of your posts on here mention me. Bruised ego?  :D
