Might want to cut the carbs to 100 grams a day and see the fat lost reaction. If not any noticeable or slow results that have the carbs between 40 to 60 grams a day. This all will allow you to eat quite well and never be truly hungry. Doing endless cardio to lose fat is never the whole answer. You may also lose muscle mass in the long run.
Check out any form of circuit training. Or even the PHA system, for a fast paced workout more geared for increasing muscle mass and reducing body fat. This is a different slant on training, but can be very affective, over the standard way of working out. Good that you are training together with your GF. Each can nag each other (in a good way) for better workouts and eating plans. And sticking to it.Good Luck.
