Training split question
« on: April 25, 2009, 05:17:09 PM »
I am thinking about doing the following; chest and back on Monday, legs on Wednesday, shoulders and traps on Thursday and arms on Saturday.  My concern comes with the closeness of shoulders and arms.  I like to do a couple compound moves for tri's, close-grip bench and dips,  Anyone see recovery being an issue doing arms about 48 hours later after presses for shoulders?

By the way, I know Monday seems like a big day, but I enjoy modified supersets of chest and back, so i go back and forth.  Just realized too, doing chest and back pretty soon after arms..

Well, everybody’s bodies and workouts are different, but I follow a very similar split with no problems.

Try it for a few weeks and decide if it works for you.

dude don't worry. I train shoulders and Thursday and arms on Friday. I've never felt that it gets in the way.  I would maybe not do traps with shoulders. for me, I get to pumped in the upper traps after uprights and militaries.

I've even do dips for  chest, shoulders and tris.
