Jeremiah 1:5
The word of the LORD came to me, saying,
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
       before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."

God is speaking to Jeremiah the prophet here, but I believe that God, being omniscient "knew" all of us before we were born or even conceived.

That is to say, He knew all about us before we were created...God is not bound by time and space.

Now, does that mean we were floating around as spirits or something before we were conceived and born?  I don't really think so.  I don't think we existed before being conceived/born....but I am interested to hear loco/MCWAY/GC's/Ro's view as I don't think I've thought about it this much before....thanks Eyeball!

Thank you, you really have good knowledge of the bible!

Believe me, it could be a lot better.  loco and MCWAY blow me away at how knowledgable they are.

I went through a really dry spell of not reading it much but am back into it!   :)

I'm reading it some lately.  Even if I didn't believe in anything I would find the book interesting as hell.

I think Thomas Jefferson's bible work is really neat, although I haven't really studied it any.

That we were alive in another planet before birth is a Mormon belief, and it's found nowhere in the Old Testament or in The New Testament.

As far as the Bible goes, before birth we were nowhere and we were not.  We did not exist.  According to the Bible, God is the only eternal being.

STella and MCWAY do have good knowledge of the bible.

Lately, I personally find it a lot easier to listen to the Bible in audio format than it is to read it.  My mind wonders too much while I'm reading anything, and I sometimes find myself reading the same page over and over again because I'm not paying attention to what I'm reading.

I don't know why, but I like that...

MCWAY blowS me away at how knowledgable HE IS.

I wish he would bestow some of that "knowledge" my way. I'm curious to know where satan's name appears in the Bible! *LOL*. I can't find it to save my skin!

What do you mean?  The actual word satan or some other name for him?

Ah, thanks, Loco. I wasn't talking about this one, in this particular case, that Scripture isn't talking about satan, it's referring to "Hehlel" which isn't a name or a title but, rather, a term describing the boastful position taken by Babylon's dynasty of kings of the line of Nebuchadnezzar. However, this king did exhibit satan's persona. That's why people have mistakenly identified him (Lucifer) with this name.

Are you familiar with that one? I appreciate your help, tho.
