Very fast yes, of course water with sugar is faster. Good choice, but it's acidic and after workout body is already acid... so what about banana or potato cream (very alkalinic)?

Huh, well I didn't see cream of banana or potato at the store, I just saw cream of wheat and cream of rice, not to mention I really like hot "cereals" like grits and oatmeal as well, but thinking of using the cream of wheat pre/post workout with some whey isolate.

No potato cream?? wow in Spain it's all around, anyway just boil some potatoes and grind them. Same with banana. I suggest them because they load carb that goes straight to the muscle (as banana contains glycose and not fructose wich travels first to the liver)

banana is half fructose half glucose - just like every fruit.

Yes, definitely and in medium glycemic so not what I was looking for post workout, I actually scrapped the Cream of Wheat post workout and went with 2 1/2 cups of Rice Krispies cereal with some chocalate whey isolate instead.

No, it's low in fructose. Not all fruits are the same. What is half fructose half glucose is sacarose.

It's always more or less-->Potato cream is 80, boiled carrots 92. Banana is 60 and pasta (from wheat) is 50.

Totaly wrong. Banana has starch, so glucose. Grape also has mostly glucose, all other fruits contains mostly fructose, wich is a monosaccharide. Sucrose is a disaccharide. Starch or amylum is a polysaccharide carbohydrate consisting of a large number of glucose. They even contain other kind of carbohydrates as sorbitol... Nature is not so rigid. Tomato is a fruit, aswell nuts, cacao, coco, cafe... And more, fruits contain more sugars as they get riper.

my bad... not every fruit is exaclt 1/2 and 1/2 .... but they are all split pretty evenhly... banana has a bit more glucose than fructose... but the fructose content is still close to half.

thats what i lookoed at when i made the last post....   it shows all of them right around 1/2 and 1/2.,... some are .1 or .2 below ....... some are as much as 1.0 above (fruct/gluc ratio)
