this all is very interesting. I wonder where the support comes from? I always wondered how many claimed to be gay to get out, desperate move to be sure... So naturally I wonder if the high ranking support is to prevent loss? I dunno... Or maybe it's just the right thing to do. Most gay men are probably not going to come out in the military. When I served we knew of a few that were gay or at least that was the scuttlebut but nobody really gave a shit that I remember. They were cool. You were more likely to get your face smashed in for other reasons.
