Probably not.  Most guys 34 y/o in a gym with lib views in my area are gays and I would not realyl be in to that.

I trained with a guy at metroflex who was and is a life long dem. We discussed many things.  And agree on many things, including when we talk about bammer agenda, even my dem buddy says bammer is way way to far left and many of his ideas and views are not liberal but socialist and marxist,. We do have some diff views on some of the smaller issues but for the most part on things that really affect business and economy we agree .  It is fun to bust each others balls about things while we lift though.

Yeah. No problem. I hang with all kinds. If you are really different politically and can't talk about it civil-like, then don't.

There is one older lib in the gym I talk to and we have very good discussions, but the young guys 25 - 40 like myself are RABID republicans on most issues so its never really an issue.

it is funny though, many of the proclaimed libs at my gym couldnt tell you who joe biden is .  and are very uninformed on just about everything going on

For years I trained with union welders and plumbers.ALL of them voted democrat,which I found funny because they hated everything democrats liked.Training is training.In the gym its a serious buisiness.If you have 900 on your back and you start to lose your balance,you dont give a flying fuck if the guy is a lib,you care if hes a good enough spotter to put you back in the racks.If you train hard I couldnt care less if your to the left of Obama.Just fucking train.

I certainly would, not alot of my friends can talk politics that well and even though youre there to work out doesnt mean you cant talk between sets...I think if 240 was my work out partner Id have great workouts with him pissing me off all the time

I think it would also add a competive nature to your relationship and possibly push you more to out lift them

I worked out with someone for a year. For whatever reason he got my name wrong when we met. We talked so rarely that it took a six months, and being wrongly introduced to his girl, before being corrected.
