Like high cal>es. The muscle attaches all the way up. Same with Jay. But if you look at old pics of both, their forearms didn't used to look that way!
Usually guys with high calves (black dudes) have high forearms---even Phil has high attachments, it's just that his are very developed, my dad and uncle same deal.
But, with Branch, it seems the muscles have atrophied--he uses straps A LOT, with could be a big reason...Lee Priest had said when he trained arms, he didn't use straps. I noticed my forearms got bigger and stronger when I trained arms without gloves that had forearm wraps built in or when doing shrugs without wraps...
It seems Branch, instead of building up his forearms, chooses to "strap it up", therefore the muscles don't get worked...

I think it has more to do with either torn muscles or palumboism. My training partner has some humongous forearms with good insertions and he always uses straps and has a pretty weak grip. Its almost as if the guys with the high forearm insertions dont even have the ability to grow muscle there, its just tendon in that area. I think too many hammer curls might possibly be a culprit too.

If some rich fag wanted to give me thousands and thousands of dollars to take it up the ass I would grab my ankles instantly.

Dudes who say they wouldn't do it are fucking liars. Trying too hard to hide the fact that they are closet queers.

True in some cases. Wolf's forearms are pretty low. And Phil's are about midway. Not too high, but not like Lee's or Frank's.

And yeah, either Branch's brahioradialis muscles ha>e atrophied, or shortened. Jay has the same thing. Older pics of Jay show him with fuller forearms.
Using straps to frequently may ha>e something to do with it.

That is not necessarily true. Buddy of mine is really huge, stocky as hell with short arms (5'8 240) and some of the biggest freakiest looking forearms i've ever seen. Uses straps on almost everything due to a serious accident he suffered to his arm and has a pretty weak grip too.

Its not like the forearm gets smaller like that because of lack of direct training, but either for some sort of chemical ckusterfuck or a brachialis bicep tear from over use/hammer curls i'm not 100% sure. But I know its not from no straps on the heavy lifts. My forearms were big even when I used straps but mostly grew from doing barbell rows, chins, hammer curls ect all working the brachialis.

My guess it has more to do with being one step away from a chemical disaster.

You're probably right. I doubt using straps has anything to do with it either. I'm sure "supplements" are a big part of the equation. I always wondered if hammer curls could cause microtears o>er time as well. Seems to happen with triceps as well to a lot of guys. My tris aren't as full as they used to be. Doing a lot of skullcrushers put a lot of strain on the muscle and tendon o>er the years.

Absolutely. I know Mircotears are common in wrestlers who put tremendous strain on they're lower biceps and forearms from constant pulling motions and working out, and they get weird looking forearms from years of doing that especially the ones that juice Mark Coleman, Kevin Randleman, Scott Rechsteiner. Its almost as if the muscle bunches all up in one ball closer to the bicep and makes the mid forearm look flat and without muscle.

Thats just a theory of mine but things might be different with Warren and Cutler. They do use a ton of GH.
