Here are the top five welterweights.  GSP has beaten everyone of them.  And although he is getting criticized for too many decision wins, all but one of these guys have more decision wins than him...

John Fitch - 57%
Jake Shields - 50%
Josh Koscheck - 40%
GSP - 40%
Thiago Alves - 33%

Strange this is.  Those are the cream of the crop at 170.  No one can seen to finish anyone.  Bizarre.

Fitch has been denied title shots and has only had two main event fights. (GSP and BJ Penn) He's even been on under cards, all with only one loss in 23 fights.

Fitch is paying the price for being considered boring.

GSP will pay the price, and in my opinion, already is.

So the boringest guy in the UFC and an idiot are ahead of GSP. Make that two idiots.  Awesome.

Outside of Thiago I would rather watch paint dry than anyone on that list except GSP.

Sadly, GSP is starting to become a cautious, boring fighter as well.

Fitch,Shields and Kos never have had a history being any kind of finishers, where as George did which in turn makes him even more boring than those three now....

my days of ever expecting a GSP fight to ever be really worth watching are officially over and even with Aldo running out of gas against Hominick,I moved Aldo into the #2 spot and dropped George down to #3 with Bones really close on his heals for that spot.

I"d like to see Sanchez back at 170 actually.  Or wait, is he back there again?  He fluctuates a lot.  Anyway, he was finishing guys.

Sanchez fights Hughes next at 170.  Should be a great fight.

That's right.  I forgot.

Sanchez brings a good brawl everytime.  However, we all remember what happened to Diego at 155 against BJ.  And BJ get's beat by GSP.

What is the answer for a fighter that has no competition at his weight class?  Is he forced to move up?  I don't like that.

It's just a matter of whether or not he has any fights that can be promoted.  Most believe that GSP is quickly running out of options as far as promotable fights at 170.  I disagree.  I would like to see him mix it up with Diaz & Condit.

GSP will NEVER move up until he loses at WW.

Even if he did, who is there to promote him with at 185 besides Anderson?

I agree with MS, Condit and Diaz are the best choices right now at WW for GSP.  Condit is out of Jackson's, so that makes for some interesting "promotable" stuff.

I'm all for a fight with Diaz next.

there's a boatload of fights @185 for GSP that would be Main event Material before or AFTER a showdown with Silva...

185 would force GSP into being a different fighter altogether...

there's a lot of guys up there won't have much of a problem getting george off his feet ..

Besides Siva, who do you think would make for good match-up for GSP at 185?

IDK how I feel about making or forcing a fighter to fight at a different weight class.  It should be the fighter's option.  Chuck never had to fight at HW when he was KO'ing everyone at 205..  although the list was still ongoing at LHW then.

It's almost as if in forcing a different weightclass, you'd be forcing a loss on a fighter.  Like your forced to fight whoever until you lose, regardless of weight.  I think it's bs.

off the top of my head wrestlers like Munoz or Sonnen...

I'd love to see what george could do with tall and rangy guy like Grove too...

Munoz & Sonnen would be touch matchups for GSP.  They should do what they did with Silva, let him go up and face some of the lower tiered guys.  Grove would be an interesting matchup.

Sonnen would be interesting. I think GSP would rip Munoz apart in the standup.

The more I think about it, GSP is nowhere near the size of these guys.

I think he would be foolish to move up and get beaten by anything less than the best in the MW division.
