efficiently? Don't we have enough empirical evidence by now of the massive misuse of tax money, the pissing away of that money on useless projects that fail and in some cases the disappearance of money? Do people really still trust the government to spend the tax money it takes from citizens in a worthwhile and productive manner? Even if you think the income tax is a good thing, shouldn't the fact that the government has bungled so much financially these last 10 or years be evidence enough to change positions? Do you really think being taxed more is the solution/ ???

They don't care!   The far leftists will not be happy until we are all broke, destitute, living in tents, riding bikes to work, and hanging around camp fires singing Koombaya.

I think there needs to be more effective spending.

I don't understand the "it has failed, so we need to eliminate it" argument. 1st of all, it seems like a false dilemma. Whynot work to make the spending more effective?

Also, the "___has failed, so we need to eliminate it" argument (examples that ron paul fans put into the blank include "War on Drugs", and "Taxation") seems to lead to troublesome conclusions if followed consistently. For example, if someone argued that child rape laws have failed (because of the children being raped), I doubt any Ron Paul fans would suggest that we should eliminate child rape laws.

Despite it's faults, taxation works better overall than if we didn't have taxation. But it does have faults, and we should work to correct those.

That is a terrible analogy; comparing misspent tax money to child rape laws, you are really stretching it. So, you are one of those people who enjoys paying your income tax? and just curious, what do you think of this ridiculousness?

But expatriate organizations say the recent increase reflects a growing dissatisfaction with the way the U.S. government treats its expats and their money: the U.S. is the only industrialized nation that taxes its overseas citizens, subjecting them to taxation in both their country of citizenship and country of residence.

I bet you support this one too, huh?
