I'm a little confused. Someone set me straight. When someone in the US calls someone a homosexual or words to that effect, is this just the worst insult ever if you are indeed not homosexual?
I'm a straight guy, I have a number of gay and lesbian friends, I couldn't personally care less if you are gay or not, and if someone called me a fag etc it is about as inaccurate and hence unoffensive as can be. My question is - why is it apparently such a big deal?
I work in an extremely homophobic industry at present and generally the guys will always call each other 'homos' etc but only on the internet do guys seem to have issues with this. I realise alot of it is just busting balls but some of us seem to have really really big issues with it.
Uberman - care to explain this?
