Only 20% of those cases has end the death of the criminal, about 35% has some kind of wounds, and in 10% the defending party has some wounds. IMHO that is quite good record there. That means there have been 99 cases per month, and that seem to be little compared the amount of criminal attacks per month. What I also see there is lack of practice, because if you have a self defence gun, you should know how to use it. I mean there is hefty amount shots missed, only 20% of criminals are dead. Add some practice, and there will be 60% of criminals dead, and that is much better. Something like obligatory monthly practice among that concealed carry license, and that take care of it.
That is something I would like to see in Finland, because in country small as this it would make big difference. When Estonia got its independency, they write a law which gives the citizens right to apply for permission to self defence weapon, and by doing that, they get 54% drop of homicides, 70% drop in car thefts etc. In Finland we have less criminals and crime, so impact would be at least as strong as in the Estonia. Instead of that, they are planning gun ban for this country, and even it has not been done yet, there is strong anti gun movement which has strong support from the police forces. They have gone so far that they have imposed the doctors to denounce the persons, who may be some kind of risk if they own any weapons..
