Must be kind of confusing for Rick Tyler to get fired for this given all the other (surely) Cruz approved dirty tricks and flat out lies by his campaign.

I thought fundies were supposed to be more moral than the rest of us due to their super religion

BTW - I have a friend who is a fundie (to give you an idea how much she has a sticker on her car that says "hardcore core jesus freak") and she hates Cruz.    She can't stand the fact that he is so dishonest.   Imagine that.  A christian actually having an issue with bearing false witness.

come on man, it was a dirty trick and it backfired.  Seeing how often it's happened with Cruz, we cannot just say he's a victim, over and over.

I'd much rather say he was playing dirty politics - and got caught - rather than saying he cannot control his people and he was "confused" and therefore told an all mixed-up story of the carson/iowa debacle.   I prefer a competent president who plays dirty tricks, vs a babe-in-woods who keeps getting duped by a bunch of campaign folks.

That was based on a story which was in the news (a false story).  Pretty sure that's how it happened, from what I remember.

I know you're being sarcastic but let's just say he didn't know about it before hand
It's hard to argue that he's not aware of it after the fact so if we are to believe his claim that he "conduct this campaign with the very highest standards and integrity" then I wonder why no one was fired for this. 

Personally I think he's a totally fine with any kind of underhanded dirty tricks but when public backlash on the Rubio thing got to be too much he had to make somebody walk the plank.

Some of the stuff I think he knew. I think they told him they were gonna tweet out the Carson thing cause it sure as hell looked like he was pulling out based on the CNN piece. But I also think somebody said fuck it when it became clear that he was not later. I don't think it mattered. All the shit he says about Rubio is true. Rubio sputters...he lied...but offers no proof. Trump babbles about suing and that's about it. I think the comm's director deserves to get shitcanned for falling for this without vetting it. They aren't running for student body president so I expect this shit to happen.

Oh and before the trump guys get all nuts. Trump is in the two businesses in the greater New York are a certain demographic has a lot of interest in. That being gambling and real estate/construction. If you don't think he's not run up against and had to deal with greasing the mob or mobs your high.

I can't imagine campaigning, and trying to make a staff of enough people to trust 100%.  That would be the most difficult part of it, probably.  And no way I'd try to maintain deniability on anything major, either, which would probably make everything impossible.

Too bad these guys almost MUST be crooked to survive the campaign.

That too-wordy explanation about the CNN tweet told all of us that his hands were dirty... CNN went out of their way for hours to say "We did NOT say he's dropping out", but Cruz campaign only had the speed when it came to the initial report
