I think he still looks impressive there. The man needs some time to recover from surgery. Most of us would disappear to nothing if we went through all that. I hope he can build himself back up again. Negative fuckers.

guy has been taking BP and cholesterol meds for years to counter the sides of the gear, also lots of prescription painkillers.

they fuck you up long term.

Oh I see - obvious when you think about I suppose.  So it's the attempt to stay 'healthy' that leads to this appearance - ironic.  I suppose once you drop the AAS these effects become apparent.  So we might start seeing more people medicate to survive CV problems, only to send up a little 'shrivelled'...  :P

I think it was partly down to his form and his genetics than the weight itself. He always done the movements in a jerky manner and I think he also lifted well beyond his capabilities thanks to the copious amounts of hormones he took. Take someone like Mike O'Hearn for instance, he has lifted crazy heavy for decades now and still hasn't showed any signs of slowing down.

Yes - but - Big Iron Mike had the (secret up til now) benefit of freeze dried duck albumen, chelated minerals and other vital nutrients - Ronnie was only using massive amounts of steroids, GH, insulina, etc.  No wonder the Big Duck has beaten father time!

I thought growth hormone was supposed to reverse aging. That's what everybody used to believe back in the 1990's.

No wonder dude barely looks 30 while being almost 50   ::)

Honestly.. Ronnie is dumb as hell. If it was worth it for HIM, than it's all good, but if his health will go down big time on various levels, that's a big price to pay for plastic trophies.

We know that many pros must be training with severe pain. Ronnie more so than most. The idiocy is to keep training while your body is telling you to stop. Those spinal injuries did not come overnight, neither did his hip-problems.

Yes. There are ways to work around pain, to heal, but no... moron continues to lift with a horrible form. You'd think a multiple Mr.O knows at least something about lifting properly, but I guess he only knows how to inject anything and everything under the sun.

What you are seeing in Ronnie isn't from the years of bodybuilding drugs and the heavy lifting he did.
It's from having 38 kids to take care of.

From a modern bbing perspective  ;D

I was actually happy to see him win 2 Arnold classics I think, just to piss everyone off

Now that Phil is the O winner I enjoy how most fans are all frustrated and talk about the "golden days" :D

WOW, his upper torso (spine) is SOOOO compressed (shortened) due to his 2 back surgeries. They must have removed serious vertebrae. Between that and his hip surgery, I'm sure he's quite a bit shorter today. Hogan lost 3" due to his back surgeries and hip replacements. Superstar Billy Graham and Roddy Piper (and others) lost even more height.

Branch looks good for Branch standards there, but look at those horrible arms, chest/midsection, NO lower back, etc. By no means is that "looking good".
