Just need to admire what he was able to do.

that's what i think too... japanese baseball is said to be between triple a and the major leagues like quadruple a league... no matter what closing in on 3000 major league hits after starting in the mlb at 27 years of age is a major accomplishment worthy of  the hall of fame.

It's possible.

Last I heard he was batting around .330 at 42 years old. Just incredible.
