UP SHIT CREEK WITHOUT A PARACHUTE !

The world has changed !

And everyone in it !

I was recently introduced to INSTAGRAM!

And then someone told me about the GoPro Hero website.

And I visited both and learned a lot of stuff I never realized before.

INSTAGRAM .... It appears that  everyone is involved in some form of physical training and getting damn good results and  .... not the 'bulky blunder" kind of results.

The number of individuals shoving their shirtless photos on that site have convinced me that the world is not as fat as I thought it was .... or used to be.

Then someone said that ZZXYZ (spelling?) was the main ingredient that started it all.

But since I can't even spell his "name" correctly and since I only discovered who he was after he had passed away, I'd have to ask some knowledgeable GetBiggers if he was that important within this physical fitness craze.

And  is this physical fitness movement as evident from the couch on which you sit ?

GoPro Hero .....

I have two GoPro video cameras but only decided to use one a week or so ago and went to the GoPro website to learn how to use one by watching some of the videos shot with a GoPro.

And it's pretty damn evident that that little camera is one of the principal reasons why thrill seekers are doing some pretty damn thrilling stuff which no one even thought about until a short while back.

Thrilling stuff such as:

Jumping from a high flying aircraft without a parachute until the second jumper catches up and gives him the extra one he just happened to bring along. (Filmed with a GoPro.)

Standing on the highest part of  the tallest building in a major city and shooting selfies and videos while hanging over the edge by his/her fingertips. (Filmed with a GoPro numerous times in various cities.)

Filming Wing Suit flights from mountain tops while flying  through natural cliff-side 'tunnels'. (Filmed with a GoPro after numerous attempts to line up that 'tunnel' perfectly.)

And a squirrel who takes a GoPro on a tour of his favorite tree in some remote park and somehow returns it to the guy who owns it. (Filmed on a GoPro as directed by an un-named and un-credited squirrel.)

Most of what is mentioned above was not even thought of yet when I was the neighborhood kid always searching for something new to do that no one had ever done before.

I've done lots of that but nothing anywhere as thrilling as perforned today.

So my big question here is  ..... What's Next?  What  can a new thrill seeker possibly think of that has never been done before ?

And how many GoPro camera owners lose their life while shooting these thrill seeking videos?

Is there any agency that keeps such records?

One Pec Wonder on Instagram. Talks about how self conscience he is but posts 99.999% body and selfies. So which is it? You can't be self conscience about your body and still post full and half naked body shots.

I like when a wing suiter straps 58 GoPros to themself in a quest for that perfect angle...haha. It is a bit ridiculous.Maybe 2 cameras.
There's a lot of truth in without filming your outrageous feat....would many even bother doing it?  I'm talking about flying through 3 foot holes on a wingsuit and so on.
Unlike Evel Kenevel, nobody who does stunts today has the appeal.  It's just another dude on YouTube.
A lot of footage is I inspiring to watch, but the foolish reasons given are laughable.  "I want to show people you can do anything....blah, blah.  And to conquer your fears whatever they are."
Your just someone who likes jumps off shit....lets just leave it at that.

I do my best to not offend ..... But, even then, it's always good to see that the Haters are still alive on this here GetBig Board.

CROATCH, Interesting that you bought up Evil Kenevel who used to get tons of publicity in newspapers and  TV whenever he jumped over the fountain in front of Caesars Palace or other relatively less threatening 
endeavors which in my opinion were no where near as dangerous at jumping from an aircraft without a chute or wing-suit flying through a "hole in the rock" at a quad-zillion-million miles per hour in a downward direction.

But they never make the headlines nor get shown on national TV.

But probably get more publicity than their predecessors  by simply posting it on the internet.

Now I'm gonna check out WingSuit prices.
