A young woman was about to finish her first year of college. Like so many others her age, she considered herself to be a very liberal Democrat, and was very much in favor of the redistribution of wealth.

She was deeply ashamed that her father was a rather staunch Republican, a feeling she openly expressed. Based on the lectures that she had participated in, and the occasional chat with a professor, she felt that her father had for years harbored an evil, selfish desire to keep what he thought should be his.

One day she was challenging her father on his opposition to higher taxes on the rich and the addition of more government welfare programs. The self-professed objectivity proclaimed by her professors had to be the truth and she indicated so to her father. He responded by asking:

Dad asked how you doing in school...daughter...good i have 4.0 GPA but i do not party, do not have many friends, all i do is work on getting good grades...but I have a 4.0 GPA so I am OK...

father: How is your friend doing...oh not so good...2.0GPA...but she does go out all the time...has many friends....invited to all the parties....has several boyfriends...she is having fun though.

father....so why do you not go to the dean and tell them to give 1.0 from your GPA to your friend...then you both would have a 3.0GPA...
daughter...what????no i have work hard and given up so much for my grades...THAT WOULD NOT BE FARE!!!!!

father....welcome to the Republican party...

  • "Stop calling me by my name."
the only college joke I have is that a Univ of Georgia student went to Spring Break and approached two girls and asked, "Where do y'all go to school?"

They replied, "Yale."

"I SAY WHERE DO Y'ALL GO TO SCHOOL ?!?! "
