69 is way too early...

I'm happy you feel that way.  To die at 69 is to say I have lived half of my life already.

I do think that every 20 years that passes, we will be that much closer to curing/reversing aging.  If not completely, at least to some extent.

RIP

Seemed like he was younger for some reason. Terrible way to go in front of his son.

Always liked him until I saw him on wife swap. He was an arrogant prick on that show.

Robin didn't want to be his dad, yet ended up like his dad. Robin told of a story that he would come home and different women/beauty queens would be in the hot tub.
That is why he married his high school sweetheart, Paula Patton.

Does this come with warning signs of any sort?

Until it starts to actually tear, there are no outward signs. I think it can be diagnosed as it is developing in scans and things of the like, but they have to notice it first.  When it actually starts to happen, it has the same symptoms as a major infarction (heart attack).

One of the causes of aortic dissection is a spike in blood pressure from lifting heavy weights in those predisposed. Imagine having high blood pressure then compound it by spiking it further by lifting heavy weights?

Everybody want to be a powerlifter but don't nobody want any aortic dissections.

Thank you for posting this, sync pulse.

Bah.  Sad but true.  I try not to push it with the weights even though I compete in the local strongman circuit.  I realize that, at some point, heavy lifting is not good for the heart.  Not to sound wimpish, but with kids now, priorities have shifted.
