Yes, and they were wrong.  We were all lied to regarding the Patriot Act and all other post-9/11 CIA fuckery.  They took too much power and then abused it.

I hope you are right. I fear that all that is happening is a shift in power from one party to another. The one thing I wanted the Dems to actually do in 2008 was kill the patriot act. They did not, and because of that, I can not support either party in any way.
