Don't know and really don't care if what is alleged is true but the story reminded me so much of my old boss I thought I would share with my closest friends on here.
Austin was lucky enough to have Chief Art Acevedo as our leader for around 8 years. When I made the rank of Lt. I would occasionally have meetings where he would grace our presence. He was very entertaining and charismatic but my B.S. alarm would go off quite a bit. When I promoted to Commander I was around him daily. I'll give a couple of examples of what I would see from this leader that reminds me of Trump. One time, we were in a meeting room discussing the fate of an officer. We were deciding if we would fire him, or give him an extended suspension. While Internal Affairs was giving their briefing of the facts, the Chief would be tossing pencils at people in the room and laughing. At one point while the officer is stating his defense, all emotional and teary eyed, he mentions a street name of Standford. Chief stops him and says to another Asst Chief in the room, "Hey Fred, doesn't your daughter to Stanford?? How's she doing?" The AC is like what the hell? Other times during important briefings he is checking his phone, looking around the room, anything but paying attention and then later asks questions that were covered while he was checking his email or texts.
He was always the smarterst person in the room and bragged on how he never went into the military because when he tested for the Air Force his ASVAB scores were so high, they wouldn't take him... I mean come on... I see Acevedos character traits in Trump, only dialed up 5 notches.
