I have all along been sceptical regarding NPC taking over IFBB internationally. For a while they were doing those US based IFBB Pro League qualifiers overseas. Is that momentum still on? Have not heard much about that lately. Possibly they overextended on that and are backing off somewhat.

The stupid company just took off all videos with his name in it, so one supplement review video I did that had under 10 seconds of footage of his booth at the 2010 Mr. Olympia was taken down.

Just to ensure that I was following all guidelines, I politely e-mailed Jim Manion, asking him if my video was ok with the IFBB - NOT like I needed that permission, but more of a courtesy.

His response was something exactly like this:

"You would have to ask the individual promoters.  I highly doubt the booth owners would want someone with a camera poking around."

Uh...why did he need to add the "highly doubt" part?  He could have just said something like "Each promoter and company owner likely has their own individual policies.  To best keep rapport, I would suggest asking first - but I suspect if you run a popular YouTube channel, they would want the coverage."

In reality, asshole Manion just wanted to dissuade me from posting competing videos.

And to think that I e-mailed this old fuck just to politely ask permission, and he just HAD to be a dick like that.

Manion: do you think I give a fuck about your opinion now?  Also, enjoy bossing around bodybuilders who could rip you in half.  I hope one of them in the future puts you in your place.

You're just an old loser who has no social power, so you enjoy power trips in the one area where you have some clout.  You know how much of a loser you are in any other aspect of society.

Those expos are a business, and typically the people who get to film at them(ron is a good example) have press passes for a reason.

I have no problem with people filming at events, but I agree with manion that it is up to the promoters and the companies with booths who I know from experience doing industrial expos in the past pay a fucking fortune not only for a booth but the set up, take down etc which typically ahs to be done by the venues very well paid union employees

NELSON, I'm  glad you mentioned that.

I saved a friend over $300 simply by stuffing my back padk with protein samples. I had to make 3 or 4 trips to the car and into the center, but it was well worth the effort.

I can't even begin to think what it cost to "build' those elaborate displays or what it cost to bring in a ton or two for the powerifting gents.

One European company even had a tank on display! If the  union charged by the weight, I'm sure that company went baknrupt before they left LV.

And I'm almost positive that the union had the ultimate right to get that tank inside that auditorium driven by a union member ... and not the rightful owner.

2-again you dont email the chairman of any organization asking him a question that is up there with "who is the guy who changes the toilet rolls in the bathroom stall when it runs out"?

3-the fact that he took the time to answer your question that should have been asked to the obvious people listed in number 1 above when he probably gets 100's of emails a day shows the guy has some class, ie you are not even a blip on the radar in the sport, not even a minion, and you got answered by manion, especially a question that has nothing to do with him

4-you seem to be an ok guy, but your other side comes across as a faux outrage victim if you do not get the answer you want from anyone. you are like that guy who gets kicked out of a relationship and the girl tells you " I just dont like you anymore" yet you keep stalkign her because you dont understand why she kicked you out even though she has given you the answer a dozen times, called the cops, have put a restraining order etc, ie you are too busy listening for the answer you want because you cant seem to accept the real answer.
