The amount of time boomers spend interacting with the healthcare system these days is crazy. To employ one that is under retirement age is going to make your healthcare plan go up.
Try hiring young women - your healthcare plan will grow broke, lol. The highest absentee rate for healthcare related issues in my company is hands down women in their 20's to 30's.
The lowest healthcare claims as well as the lowest time off rate are for guys from 35-55. Rock steady. As guys hit 65 their health claims increase but they generally retire then. Women in assembly from age 55+ are absolute gems. They NEVER take time off and show up on time, every time.
The most unreliable employees I had/have are guys under 25 and women from 20-30. Total waste of time hiring them, with rare exception. These "wunderkind" programmer types are so overrated btw. They create the buggiest lines of code ever. It's all splash with them so I now farm out that type of labor to eastern European engineers (Romania especially) via Upworks. Best subcontractors ever.
