Wahlberg is 5’6 and a half
Philip Seymour Hoffman [RIP] was 177cm / 5'9.5"...and in Boogie Nights, Wahlberg looked a bit shorter, but would seem to have been only about an inch shorter, but not likely two inches shorter.
I would think Mark is like myself:
Morning height = 176cm [5'9.3"].
Nighttime height = 174cm [5'8.5"]
We all lose about an inch throughout the course of the day, depending on activity.
I can be as short as 5'8" after a long night on my feel...but I could have measured it wrong.
I tell people I am 5'8.5" because I think it's more honest to give my shortest nighttime height than it would be to give my maximum morning height, which we tend to lose after as little as half an hour or so of just walking around.
Anyone can round up 5'8.5" to 5'9", but I always say 5'8.5"...which apparently equals 5'10" to men my height on dating websites.
Mark Wahlberg doesn't look look 5'6.5" to me.
I'd be surprised, based on his proportions, if he was any shorter than 5'7.5". Although he will be 49 in June, so he may have lost a CM since turning 40 [apparently we lose a CM per decade starting at 40...but Mark is very fit and active, as well as being not overweight, so I think he may lose height at a slower pace than other people would].
It's always possible that he wears elevator shoes like Sylvester Stallone did...but I don't think that is the case.
