I reflexively want to think this way, but it has gotten to the point where life is actually being disrupted.  I think there are plenty of morons who are panic hoarding for some unlikely doomsday scenario, but I think that's also combined with a more rational buyer whose bracing for a much more likely few weeks of delivery interruptions.

All stores have sold out of TP, bottled water, rice, canned beans, peanut butter and pasta.  You’d think it was a bunch of bodybuilders doing it.
