I remember when that Hell's Angel bouncer knocked him out with one punch. I don't know what the dispute was about. I know the bouncer was a professional fighter in his younger years.

In 1993 I was at a formal event and Van Damme was there.  At one moment I just happened to be standing right beside him.  This was when he was at about the peak of his career.

I was surprised how short he was.  I had always pictured him as a tall guy.  He wasn’t, he was exactly my height, 5’8”.   And I was surprised he wasn’t as big as I expected.  He was wearing a dinner jacket which I would guess was a size 42 (I sold suits at one time when I was young).  It might have been a 44, but I doubt it, surely wasn’t a 46.  I would guess a size 42.

I will add, he was a very handsome guy.

A bodybuilder who apparently only trained chest and arms.  Bolo had the most over developed pecs of any bodybuilder ever. ;D

The battle over who should get writer's royalties for The Quest was even better.  I don't know what the big deal was as it was just a remake of Bloodsport except it took place in the 20's instead.  The court battle between Van Damme and Dux was great t.v.
