ALL NPC and IFBB contests in the USA cancelled from March 16 to May 10

With the ever changing information regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the United States Government decisions being made in the USA, we will be CANCELING ALL scheduled NPC and IFBB Professional League contests in the United States beginning today, Monday, March 16, 2020 through Sunday, May 10, 2020. Some of these events will be postponed until a later date while some will just resume in 2021. Please look to the individual promoter’s pages for updated information about specific shows.

We are very disappointed to have to cancel these events but as always, the health and safety of our athletes, officials and fans is our top priority. The NPC and IFBB Professional League are focused daily on updates from the World Health Organization as well as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention concerning COVID-19. As a reminder, the CDC has encouraged traditional precautionary prevention measures and guidelines. We will continue to monitor the Coronavirus information on a daily basis.

AT THIS TIME we are preparing for ALL NPC and IFBB Professional League contests in the United States after May 10, 2020, to go on as originally scheduled. Nothing would make us happier than seeing all of you back on stage showing off all of your hard work. However we will continually monitor the daily information made available by the United States Government, State and Local Governments and the World Health Organization as well as the Centers for Disease Control for each promoter’s city and state if there are to be changes or further postponements.

the local shows in AZ for July got pushed back to August

Right now they’re calling for 4-8 weeks of in house arrest. That puts me out for the the West Coast Classic in June and the Nationals In July. I can’t go almost 3months with training on bands and not being able to train right for a pro qualifier. See you at the Masters USA in Dec. 😡

Don't blame Trump. It's your state government behind this. I guess you could go work out in North Dakota or Wyoming where the governors have resisted this insanity 

My Gold's Gym shut down two weeks before any government decrees. Hence they are the real assholes. Fortunately a family member has a power rack and Olympic weights in their basement so I haven't missed a beat. After this farcical period is over I have no plans to ever be a member of a commercial gym again. Why bother?

It will be interesting to see what will be the first contest that will be scheduled by the NPC/IFBB.  So many now have been pushed back, even the ones in June and July.  It isnt just the promoters, but that state governments, the venues that they are putting the places in, and many other issues?

Will they allow masks on stage when competing? 


In South Korea, they already had an event with masks for check-ins, backstage, etc. and it went well.

The NPC USAs was rescheduled from July 24th to Dec 11-13th.  So many shows are rescheduled, until we can start with the first NPC/IFBB show, it is pointless to just keep changing the schedule. I am assuming that no shows will be in May, and will await until we get the first confirmed show in June, etc...

Keep in mind, while a promoter may want a show to go on, the venue, or state rules, or county rules will not let it go on there.
