Credit to Silva on defeating Chavez Jr.
This was a great example of a former MMA fighter with prior boxing experience (2 professional boxing fights) transitioning to boxing and doing a great job against a true professional boxer that was a former champ (WBC middleweight title 2011-2012). What's even more impressive is that Anderson is 46 and Chavez is 35! With an 11 year age difference and the fact that Chavez has had over 58 professional boxing matches (52-5-1, 34 KOs), Silva was clearly outside of his comfort zone and certainly not expected to do much against Chavez, but he was actually very impressive with his movement, controlling the distance, cutting angles and connecting in a clean fashion.
