How is Labrada in the first callout?
« on: October 08, 2021, 09:37:08 PM »
What a sham! Torn pec, oversized legs, soft, washed out abs, should probably be last. No wonder he didn’t take off his shirt at the prejudging — Nick would’ve called him out on that pec. Instead Hunter was like ‘I’ll wait for the judges…to reward me for being Lee’s son.’

Total BS.

How does he not have an ounce of bodyfat on his lower body, yet have worse abs then your average gym rat?

Didn't Branch win a couple of Arnolds with visible injuries?  Seems Labrada is the new guy they are pushing. I actually like his youtube content.

It’s just not the same without the real men competing. Might just be me but I don’t consider theses guys olympians. Not saying they aren’t huge and freaky etc… but I just don’t care for them like I did when it was Jay, Ronnie, Heath, cormier, flex, etc… it really lost interest to me when Phil lost.

Smooth and watery for the night show. Walker should have beat Hunter.

For all of the constant boasting of this being "the biggest Olympia stage ever" I don't think it was set up in the best way to highlight the physiques.  I think too much attention was paid to ensuring the prominence of the sponsors logos

Give me the days of a simple dark back drop about 10 feet behind the lineup, with some strong overhead lighting (the 'Kamali Kitchen' effect ;D) - that diffuse lighting they were using makes these guys look even worse than they are IMHO

Indeed. 1999 British Grand Prix had the best lighting ever (except Kamali's kitchen maybe). Of course the competitors then were in a different league compared to today's shit but still, with that lighting even some of today's bloated toads would look decent.

Boom!  Thank you - that is exactly what I was talking about.  I'm not saying the guys yesterday were in that kind of shape, but it would be interesting to see if that old school approach would have brought out just a bit more detail

Another amazing example - thank you - and yes of course they were in a different league but it would be good to see a show lit like this - with the need for such prominent sponsor displays, I wonder if it will ever happen though 🤔
