According to some, you have to like and approve of this, or risk being "cancelled.". I personally can't wait for the AIDS to cancel this thing.

Savoring the brutal election lessons for Democrats: Expect all hell to break loose within the Democrat party, with powerful key factions at each others’ throats
American Thinker ^ | 11/03/2021 | Thomas Lifson

Expect all hell to break loose within the Democrat party, with powerful key factions at each others’ throats. Voters in multiple states repudiated the radical wing of the Democrat party that had seized control of the party’s agenda.

Republicans swept the statewide offices in Virginia, a state that had recently tantalized Democrat hopes of national dominance by swinging from red to purple to blue. Even if Phil Murphy ends up winning the governorship of New Jersey as troves of mail-in ballots are added to the totals when counting resumes in the morning (a story replicating what happened in some swing states in 2020), the message is clear: the public does not want to enact the vision of the Squad as our new reality.

Minneapolis voters rejected replacement of the city’s police department with a social worker-laden Department of Public Safety by 12 point margin. This in a city that has twice elected radical Ilhan Omar. Buffalo, NY voters corrected their mistake in a low turnout primary election that nominated radical socialist India Walton as the Democrat candidate for mayor, and wrote-in the name of incumbent Mayor Byron Brown by a large margin. Voters do not want the radical agenda enacted.

The prospects for the Democrats’ Build Back Bankrupt bill ever becoming law just became vanishingly small.  As Charles C.W. Cooke asks the right questions:

Why on earth would Senators Joe Manchin, Kyrsten Sinema, Maggie Hassan, and Catherine Cortez Masto continue to acquiesce with their party’s extraordinarily foolish attempt to shove a set of FDR-sized spending programs through a 50–50 Senate? Such as: Why on earth would a swathe of moderate House Democrats agree to go along with it, when, by all appearances, they are already going to have their work cut out for them next year? (snip)

Manchin says 'unbelievable' Virginia results validate concerns over spending package
The Hill ^ | November 3, 2021 | Alexander Bolton
Posted on 11/3/2021, 12:38:44 PM

Centrist Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), who has slowed down negotiations on a massive $1.75 trillion reconciliation package, says the “unbelievable” Republican victories in Virginia’s statewide races Tuesday validate his concerns about inflation and moving the Build Back Better Act too quickly through Congress.

Manchin said that GOP gubernatorial candidate Glenn Youngkin’s victory in a state that President Biden won by 10 points in 2020 also underscores the need for the House to pass the $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill, which progressives are holding up.

“It’s unbelievable to see what went on in Virginia and not just from the governor’s race but all the way down that ticket a good bit of change has happened,” Manchin said, expressing astonishment over Republican victories in the races for governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general.

He cautioned that his Democratic colleagues need to take Tuesday’s election results as a warning and proceed more carefully with the reconciliation package that Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Speaker Pelosi (D-Calif.) are racing to pass as soon as possible.

“You can read so much into all of that last night. I think it should be a call to all of us have to be more attentive to the people back home,” said Manchin, who also noted the governor’s race in New Jersey, a solidly Democratic state, was still too close to call as of early Wednesday.

“I’ve been saying this for many, many months, people have concerns, people are concerned,” he said, repeating his concerns about federal spending boosting inflation and hurting constituents back home in West Virginia and other rural areas.

“And for us to go down a path that we’ve been going and trying to accelerate it and it has been slowed down – I think we need to take our time

I wonder if this will be a tea party type split from the Democrat party? The moderates need to distance themselves from some of these far left agendas. WV hit the nail on the head. This is a good thing for everybody if this holds true.

Another Shocking Victory Happened in Texas Last Night and Suggests 2022 Doom for Democrats: Republicans Flipped Majority Hispanic San Antonio House District that went +14 for Biden
Red State ^ | 11/03/2021 | Bonchie
Posted on 11/3/2021, 3:40:34 PM by SeekAndFind

While all eyes were on Virginia last night, where Republican Glenn Youngkin pulled a massive upset, other elections were going on across the country. Candidates for local offices and state districts along with referendums on things like defunding the police occurred in places like Texas, Wisconsin, and Minnesota, and there’s a big upset in Texas that suggests doom is coming for Democrats in 2022.

That occurred in San Antonio where the race of HD118 took place. Republican John Lujan came out victorious in the majority-Hispanic district that Democrats carried by double-digits the last time around.

BREAKING: Lujan (R) flips HD118 in Texas special election runoff

This is a Biden +14 district in San Antonio that’s 73% Hispanic

— Jewish Deplorable (@TrumpJew2) November 3, 2021

Here’s a report on the results from the San Antonio Report.

Republican John Lujan defeated Democrat Frank Ramirez in a special election runoff for Texas House District 118 on Tuesday, reclaiming the seat he held in 2016.

The business owner and former firefighter ended the night with 286 more votes than Ramirez, a first-time candidate. The runoff was expected to be a tight race. At the beginning of the evening, Ramirez held a narrow lead in early voting and absentee ballots. Lujan won 51.2% of the vote.

That’s a 15% shift toward the GOP since 2020. This was a district that Donald Trump lost in 2016 and appeared to be trending heavily blue like other areas around Austin and San Antonio. Yet, Lujan was able to turn the conventional wisdom on his head, carrying a majority of the Hispanic vote along the way.

Along with the recent Republican victories in the Rio Grande Valley, what this tells us is that assumptions about certain demographics favoring Democrats are outdated. For example, some are speculating that Youngkin won the Hispanic vote outright in Virginia last night. We are seeing a sea change on the issue of minorities voting for the GOP, not necessarily from black voters, but certainly from other sectors of the voting public.

I think the lesson here is two-fold. One, Republicans can demand action on illegal immigration and still do well with Hispanics. That counters the conventional wisdom of many establishment figures. On the other hand, Republicans who have reflexively assumed that a growing Hispanic population is somehow bad for the GOP are also wrong. At the end of the day, people are people and issues matter more than racial politics.

To wrap all this up, the results in Texas last night are just horrific news for Democrats going into next year’s election. Their entire schtick is one of identity and pushing divisions among minority groups, and they are simply doubling down on that effort. If anything close to a majority of Hispanic voters continue to reject that message, we aren’t just looking at a red wave next year but a red tsunami.

As for Republicans, they should continue to fight on issues that galvanize support. After many years of false hope, the Hispanic vote is there for the taking and it could solidify GOP majorities for years to come.

Mysterious Stickers Keep Showing Up At Costco Gas Stations And Employees Hate It
Mashed ^ | Nov. 17, 2021 2:15 pm EST | Ralph Schwartz

Joe Biden's presidency isn't even a year old, but anonymous Republican foot soldiers with an eye to the 2024 election are already on the attack. Their weapons are stickers, placed like land mines for the mind on gas pumps across America. The stickers include an image of a shirtless, uncombed Hunter Biden with a cigarette dangling from his lips and the words, "Gas prices higher than Hunter Biden."

Hunter Biden, the president's son, went public with his addiction struggles in a memoir, "Beautiful Things," published in April (via Associated Press). Supporters of the Republican Party, including allies in the conservative news media, have used Biden's struggles with drug and alcohol addiction against the president, according to Yahoo! News. The gas pump stickers are just another phase of the assault on the president's reputation. The stickers convey two right-wing messages: one, that the president is "a weak liberal who has no control of the people around him," as Tucker Carlson said on Fox News, and two, that the president is to blame for soaring gas prices.

At least one Costco employee took to Reddit to vent their frustration over people sticking those "higher than Hunter Biden" stickers on the warehouse chain's gas pumps. Redditor "Thatdudedoesnotabide" posted a photo of the Hunter Biden sticker on a Costco gas station pump with the caption, "Hi yes employee here, we really do not, I mean DO NOT care about your political preference, find something better do please." Later, in the comments, the poster added, "It's pathetic honestly, especially when it's taking up our time removing these before opening."

Presidents shouldn't get credit or blame for Costco's gas prices

Biden bashers can also go on Etsy and purchase a similar sticker that shows Joe Biden pointing, with the text, "I did that!" The stickers are intended to be placed on a gas pump so that Biden is pointing at the price lit up on those little digital screens. But of course, the president of the United States can't be blamed for high gas prices, just as he (or someday maybe, she) can't take the credit when they are low. Gasoline prices nearly doubled from April 2020, when Donald Trump was still president, to October 2021, per CNN. There was no presidential decree on gas prices in either case. Rather, the simple economic law of supply and demand was in play. Demand was low when everyone was staying at home in the early days of the pandemic, and demand has rebounded since then, while supply hasn't caught up yet.

Oil companies have been slow to pick up the pace on drilling new wells in the U.S., as they have been more inclined to save money and tap out existing wells during what has been a very lean year for them, according to Reuters. The pace of drilling should pick up in 2022, and Biden was recently quoted in a separate Reuters article saying he expects prices at the pump to fall next year.

I do feel for the employees having to clean up someone else's mess.

All the democrats have to do is pass Universal Basic Income in 2022 and they'd probably gain seats in the House.

Well... either TPTB start a nuclear war which they have been trying to do for quite some time now (Hawaii/Japan) or they'll have to give away free money....

One or the other has to happen to either stop the 2022 election completely or make people fall in love with them..

Continuing to do everything they are doing now.. will not win them votes.

-- all that being said...... this is based on elections actually being fair.. which may not even be the case... and in that event... they rig stuff so they win regardless of world events
