Nah.  From my 20s on, I always dated older women as I found I had much more in common with them than I did girls/women my age.  Some were 20+ years older but we always had a wonderful time and again, I think it was due to how I was raised as be it music, film, food, etc., I had so much more in common with the older women I dated.

And that is something quite uncommon, believe me.    Perhaps that was Wolders reason?  I can't speak to his "why" but I know mine was compatibility related.  I saw one of them a few years  ago and she was in her (I think) early 80s but across a parking lot I knew her and called out to her.

She was shocked I recognized her and even said not to look at her because she was older now.  I simply told her that if I could so easily recognize her from such a distance it was because I  still "knew" her.  She was still that wonderful, beautiful woman to me.  And she was.

I have said before that it is a crime we grow old.  The best we can hope and work toward is to be with someone that loves us for who is inside.

To make matters worse, I still watch the 3Stooges and she still refuses to.  "Emotional Maturity" is not my strong suit.  She used to jokingly (I hope!) say to her friends she wondered why she married me and then points out the time we had a new, had to be 8 feet long and weigh over 200lbs. couch.  The delivery men left it outside on the ground as we lived up a couple flights of stairs with a tight 90 degree turn in them.

She started crabbing about how were we going to get this up the stairs and how she was going to call the company she bought it from and tell them their delivery sucked when her husband (me) just walked over and easily lifted the couch up over head and walked through the gate and up the stairs with it and got it around that first corner and the final one into our place without a problem.

I was good for stuff like that and waiting in line at the movie theater because I would NOT let someone knock me down to go around us after we had waited patiently.  There's more reasons but they are no longer valid, dammit!
