Our founding fathers were God fearing men, whether you believe or not. That is indisputable.
While some of the Founding Fathers were Christians, the most influential ones seem to have been more closely aligned with rationalism or deism. There are no indications that any of them were hardcore Christians, especially of the variety that's in vogue today.
That said, it's unclear what relevance their beliefs have in this context. What matters is how they envisioned and set up this nation. They could have chosen to
explicitly designate it a Christian nation, but they didn't. In fact, it's rather obvious that they
explicitly did not intend to create a Christian nation, which is hardly a surprise given the history they had both lived and learned.
That said, I don’t care what your beliefs are, I just wanted to point that out.
As long as we each respect the other's fundamental rights and don't seek to force the other to share in our beliefs (or lack therefore), we're cool.
