LOL! No, ukuleles were not invented in Ukraine. They were invented in Hawaii. A place 'over of the rainbow' which is quite different from Ukraine. Ukraine is very cold in the winter and Hawaii is not, for one. Actually, it is believed the Ukulele evolved from the braguinha, a small guitar which was brought to Hawaii in 1879 by Portuguese settlers from Madeira.

And I am thankful that you, IronNat inspired me to Google the origin of the Ukulele. I should have known it was Hawaii. I had never given it thought until you asked that question. Not only that but in doing this I learned some things about the instrument I had not previously known.

There are many on Getbig who opt to make up garbage rather than spend a few minutes seeking out the facts. Too bad, so sad for them.

Ukraine and Israel are local issues. Why so many westerners want to make it a full blown World war is beyond my comprehension. It would force everybody to take a side, and it would not be pretty.

I am unsure that your assessment is accurate. Can you think of any full-blown World War that did not start out with local issues?
