People on the West coast would still be asleep when you get up in the morning regardless of the official time.

Not if the world just followed just 1 simple clock.

So, the West Coast would be going to work when it’s still dark outside. And the people on the East Coast would be at work at the same time and it would be light outside. Nothing bad would happen.

 It would just be dark for the West Coast. They would quickly adjust, and then it would eventually be normal feeling for them.

And then when people on the East Coast would be going home at 5:00 PM, it would be getting dark outside and the people on the West Coast would be enjoying the light. Nothing detrimental will happen to the Sun. The Sun doesn’t even think about what is the Earthlings are trying to accomplish. The world would adjust and life would be easier with the whole world following the same clock!

Think about it…How crazy is the time change concept during Daylight Savings Time?! We are literally doing what I’m proposing. We apparently are able to alter the clocks then. So why not permanently alter the clocks now? Hawaii, Guam, Puerto Rico, Arizona do not follow Daylight Savings Time. And the world is able to deal with it. Right? Those places are literally deciding what time they want to follow. It’s crazy! And throughout history, the time change has been revised and altered. Read up on the history of Daylight Savings Time. Ben Franklin and FDR both changed up and paused and began Daylight Savings Time. Why did they have the authority to just change time as they fancied? The whole history of Daylight Savings Time is bonkers and all over the place!

Think about all the times people get confused when they forget about time zone differences. People in NYC will need to call Los Angeles in the morning to check on a shipment and they’ll forget the 2 hour time difference.

What about the confusing time zones in the Mid West? I don’t even remember what their time difference is. Most people don’t remember either.

Why do Americans drive on the right?

Americans drive on the right due to historical practices with large freight wagons in the 18th century, where drivers (usually right-handed) rode the left rear horse, needing clear visibility for passing traffic on their left. Daylight Savings Time is absolutely stupid in these days.

All states follow Daylight Savings Time, except Arizona, which makes it hard, since we deliver to Arizona to figure things out. Also, some of the Indian Reservations do use Daylight Savings Time, so you can be 20 minutes away with different time zones in different areas.  Just get rid of it, like the majority of Americans have asked to do so for years to make it easier on all.  It just screws up people for a few weeks, with the loss and an hour and gain an an hour, especially with dogs with are set in time for wake up times and meals.

Exactly. So what?! So parts of the world would be dark. So what?! In Utqiagvik, Alaska they are currently without sun until January 2026 during Polar Nights. If you think about it, what difference does it make it half of the world would be dark and the other half wouldn’t? The world wouldn’t implode!

Right now, I feel it’s inconvenient to be on the East Coast and you have to wait until they all wake up on the West Coast if you need to call them. Then there are even states that don’t follow the time changes. None of it makes sense!! Prior to 1883 I believe time zones didn’t exist. They all made due. The world should just follow the same clock and life would be easier.
