Haha that's pretty good. Yes, traditional CGI is on the chopping block. Some VFX houses like ILM have started to integrate AI into their workflow. You'll still need CGI artists, but they'll have to be versed in AI.

I bought all the kickass parts in 2023 and have still not assembled it. Prices for computer parts have gone up so much I might even be able to turn around and sell it for a profit. But then I'd have to rebuy it all again so I'll just have to allocate some time and get it done! I have a ton of workstations sitting around, with between 128 and 256 GB RAM. All very capable machines.
