Rewatched it the other night because of your post.

So many good lines in that movie, "He's a suitor" "You stole from my kin" "can't be braggin on our own midget, no matter how stumpy"

The five most humiliating details of Nolan's Odyssey.

Lupita Nyong'o as Helen of Troy. In the original poem, Homer describes her with white arms, fair skin and blonde hair. Nolan chose the opposite. It's not that Lupita is a bad actress, it's that the character they gave her has absolutely nothing to do with her. It's making a film about Cleopatra and giving the role to a Nordic woman.

Elliot Page as Sinon, the Greek warrior who tricks the Trojans with the horse. A 5'1" actor playing a warrior soldier in the most masculine story ever written. Nolan chose him without explanation.

Travis Scott as Modocko the Bard, a rapper with two acting credits in his entire career. Nolan justified the decision by saying that rap is a modern form of spoken poetry, but he could have chosen any serious actor and he didn't.

The dialogues are in modern American English, characters from ancient Greece speak with 21st-century accents and phrases. It was already evident in the trailers. Nolan spent $250 million on the most expensive film of his career, and no one corrected that.

There are zero actors of Greek origin in the entire film, not a single one. In a story that is at the heart of Greek culture, John Leguisamo, a Colombian, plays Umaeo, the servant, and he himself has publicly criticized white actors when they take on Latino roles.

Hollywoke just can't help themselves. They just have to push their multicultural agenda.
