Let's ease up on the automatic accusations of steroid use.
I've been checking in on this board every now and then, as my schedule allows... and while I'm pretty happy with the growth of our little natural chat room, I'm also a little perturbed by this repeating pattern of appreciation juxtaposed with undermining accusations.
Remember; this board is supposed to be a place for naturals to encourage and assist each other, not demean each others achievements.
There are no steroid police on this board.
Members posting pics do so on the honour system.
If you have proof that someone purporting to be natural on this board actually isn't... such as documentary evidence of a failed drug test, or a steroid possession conviction which is a matter of public record... then please post it. However, members opinions and preconceptions DO NOT constitute proof, especially not when someone's character is being questioned.
Before accusing someone of being a steroid user, or inferring such by expressing the ostensibly complimentary opinion that they resemble a steroid user... please consider how long the person has been training; their untrained starting level; genetic predisposition; bone structure/ethnicity etc etc Being natural is not an excuse for assuming yourself pre-eminent among your peers, we must accept the existence of natural physiques better than our own.... and more importantly we must accept the challenge they present us.
Assuming steroid use by those more advanced than ourselves is a lazy method of self-reassuring prejudice no different than the dismissals made by the non-training populace convincing themselves they could easily better any of us.... if they were bothered to train.
Widespread, rampant steroid abuse has robbed bodybuilding of its accomplishment, its integrity and even its dignity. Public perception, perhaps justified, means there is little pride in calling oneself a bodybuilder these days.
But we are naturals... we have chosen discipline, dedication and determination; bodybuilding as personal quest for self improvement...
We have valid reason to be proud.
We do not seek to take that pride from our kindred.... not here.
Not ever.
We, are better than that.
