Andy Hug only did Kyokushin. He competed in K-1 and Kickboxing events and defeated all of them. So you're wrong again.

Not according to his site:

He did kung fu, tae kwondo and taiji quan too. But beyond that Hug was not FIGHTING TRADITIONAL ART FORMS FIGHTING in K-1. They don't wear boxing gloves in traditional martial arts forms fighting. So how am I wrong?

Boxing gloves are gear. That's completely beside the point.  ::)

Furthermore, And Hug never earned a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, Kung Fu, and Tai Chi. He "dabbled" in other forms - like all good fighters he was constantly looking to expand his knowledge. But he didn't win K-1 using his Tai Chi skills. David Carradin.

Actually it was the point. You admit it's not part of traditional arts form fighting.

And the point here was YOU said ONLY Kyokushin karate, which wasn't true. And he didn't WIN K-1 with traditional arts form fighting either, which was the point.

If I competed as a kickboxer and studied kickboxing all my life and decided to start learning about Gung-Fu after I was already a succesful kickboxer, but never really master Gung-Fu. Would that mean I competed as a Gung-Fu man?  ???

TKD for 4 weeks, doesn't mention anything about a blackbelt in karate.  This is off the mans site, krav maga was something he promoted later in life but he for the most part was a thaiboxer.

Actually it's called a square ring. And wrestling is a form of male soap opera entertainment. LOL

So in other words if you studied Kyokushin karate all your life, then took up K-1 after being a successful Kyokushin fighter, but never really mastered it, would you have competed as a K-1 fighter? YES. ROFLMAO!

Didn't look at it....What you are saying is wrong though. He's a 3rd degree black belt in Kyokushin Karate(Oyama). You probably didn't understand something.

Then he's not very proud of that fact, since he doesn't mention it at all on his own website.

"After begging my parents for a long time to let me please study martial arts they finally bent and let me. I was training for about four weeks (this was Tae Kwon Do, by the way) and then got into a street fight with somebody who always was bothering me."

I was right. You didn't understand what you read. You took something out of context and bent it to fit your(wrong) viewpoint. He got in a street fight after taking TKD for 4 weeks. He didn't quit after 4 weeks. He has a black belt in TKD. He has a 3rd degree in Kyokushin(superior to TKD IMO) Karate. According to Wiki, he credits his punching power to Kyokushin so I'm sure he's proud of it. He had no reason to promote it for monetary gain, like he is doing with Krav Maga(or whatever shit it's called) now.

Biography
Born in Tilburg, the Netherlands, Bas Rutten became interested in martial arts when he was 14 after watching Enter the Dragon, taking up Tae Kwon Do but soon changing to Kyokushin Karate, where he competed in bareknuckle full contact karate tournaments. At the age of 20 he started competing in Thai boxing although he credits kyokushin karate as the base of his striking skills. Starting as a good striker and later on learning submission fighting, Rutten implemented a well balanced mixture of many techniques. Rutten's only losses came to Frank Shamrock, Ken Shamrock, and Masa Funaki. He avenged his losses to Frank Shamrock and Masa Funaki in rematches, and went undefeated for his last 22 fights.

Your logic is flawed. K-1 is a setting not a fighting style. Poor analogy.

Lol, lighten up dude! Here's the deal, stand up fighters fight good against the average joe, an amatuer martial artist and people with no fighting knowledge. Against an MMA fighter, they would lose. Hands down. No if and or buts. It's been proven lots of times. Watch all the UFC's.

Until you get in the ring (since you would dwarf most MMA fighters according to your stats) and prove it, make mine MMA.
