Jimmy,
Vince himself talked about his diet many times in interviews appearing on the web and in print magazines. His training DVD would show that he is not a particularly heavy trainer and some members of getbig have seen him train and all report the same thing. Once he lost the masters Olympia title in 2002 he not only stopped using gear, but stopped training outright. This strikes me as gear dependency if I've ever seen it.

Does Vince Taylor have a world class physique? Yes. Does that mean any of the above is untrue? No.
Now, I have to admit that I could have been more tactful in saying what I said. I still do think it rings true though based on all the evidence I've seen. If you have any new evidence on the matter, I am all ears.
Check out my review of his DVD here:

Please don't take any offense to this but I am just amazed how you post things about Vince like it is a known fact and you know first hand info. You mention the DVD and how he trained. That DVD was filmed in 1989 after he won the NOC. That was 17 years ago. Do you know for a fact that his style of training remained the same?
As far as not training off gear, that's something that effects each person individually. I'm sure you must have experinced 3-4 days of not eating enough calories and looking flat and small...but yet again you are still training and going to the gym.
Yes, I think you could be a little more respectful...you are correct. The only reason why I'm even "budding" in this thread is because I know Vince and his wife for many many years and have been very good friends. I see him everyday.
It kinda saddens me when I see people like yourself posting "facts" in your eyes but very far from the truth.
Again, no disrespect.
ps..you never answered my question..do you live in Ft Lauderdale?
Peace
