Actually, I received a letter from Tony Blinn (IFBB Official) reguarding my involvement in the Chicago Expo that Wayne DeMilia put on, as well as my involvement in the BB.com EXPO which included a FAME show.
I explained that I was indirectly involved, as my company was a sponsor of the event, and I was working for my company...plain and simple. I also talked with Jim Manion around the same time, and he informed me that they had made an amendment to the rules reguarding pro's working for their companies, etc.
The amendment, is short sighted at best...which is the reason I opted to challenge the rule as it stands and make it feasable for IFBB pro's to participate (and make money) making appearances, guest posings, seminars, openings, etc. at non-sanctioned shows/ expos.
As you can see, I'm not "above the law" (unlike Steven Seagal) and have to adhere to the same rules as everyone else...there have been plenty of pro's who have been cleeared to make similar appearances, but it is the exceptioon, not the rule...
I'm looking to make it the rule.
BTW...I had no involvement with the NPC show which was held the next day, because I was on a plane for L.A., with business to attend to the next day. Ironically, it was Lee Priest himself who didn't show up for a scheduled guest posing at the show....
Anything else you need to get through the next chapter?
