New England talking to Randy Moss

I was listening to the Dale and Holly show on Weei. Credible sources have Randy Moss in serious talks with the New England Patriots about a trade before the deadline. NE has 2 first round picks and 10 million to burn under the cap. The pats would be unstopable with moss in the lineup. With that defense, special teams,Brady and the running game Moss added to the offense would = 14 - 2 with a 4th ring. Hell if he fit in they could use there other pick and then be plain ridiculous for next year also. Although I doubt they would give up a first round pick.

Now obv there is the factor or moss being a cancer to the team. But one could argue Corey Dillon was the same way before coming to NE. Guys like Rodney,Seymour,Brady and Teddy B could have an effect on a guy like moss. Winning can also change ones attitude.They could cut him and be back where they started as a Superbowl contender if he did not pan out. Yeah you would lose the first round pick but you have 2. Without moss the pats are a superbowl contender. With him they would be unstoppable. Catch 22 :( One could also argue Moss being a proven super talent. While the two picks we make next year could be busts. Why not use one pick then get moss to make the offense insane? But one could come back and say he could destroy the defintion of a team in NE.


Prob wont happen. But I can only imagine if he came here and was the Randy who was under Carter in Minnesota!!!


There are also rumors Porter is talking with NE also.

If Moss was smart (which he isn't) he would go to NE and re-gain his rep back and leave that abortion that calls themselves the "RAIDERS"!

I don't see it happening, but if it did, NE would have a dynamite offense.

Isn't gonna happen.... Now the debate will rage for days on what could have been!!!!


The pats are in good shape either way so I am not complaining but damn Moss would have made that team unstopable!

He would be a pretty big upgrade over Branch, not that they miss him that much.

To be perfectly honest I'd love to see this go down, him and Brady would make quite a dou.

It would make the team 100 percent complete. Right now the defense is very good. The special teams is very good. The running game is top notch. Brady is at the helm and the offensive line is sound.Jackson and Gabrial are getting there timing so they should make a big impact as time goes on. We have old reliable troy brown also. Adding Moss to that offense would take it from good (running game) To superb. Jackson and Gabrial will be very good receivers when they get the timing of the offense down. Brady deserves some blame also as he has been playing very bad at times. But adding moss would make a instant impact. Also think about the numbers Brady has had with receivers who are considered to be second tier guys. Brady to Moss would have been a site to see.

The trade was shot down by eei at 4. A part of me wishes they had made this trade. We won superbowls with less than we have now but it still would have been fun to watch. I guess I shouldent complain with a 4 and 1 record. but I would have loved to see Moss down here.

Ah well  >:(

I agree. Corey Dillon was the same type guy Moss is when he came to NE. The trade did not happen but it would have been fun to watch.
