but is still going to help people in everyday situations? N***a, please.
Sorry, the Lord ain't gonna intervene in nothing. Believing he will, would be heresy
Summing up Christianity: The Lord gave us his son and Jesus died for our sins.
Zack,
you do say some good things, but then you contradict yourself...again and again.
How is "The Lord gave us his son and Jesus died for our sins" NOT divine intervention? If this is not divine intervention, then what is?
"the Lord ain't gonna intervene in nothing."?
"Believing he will, would be heresy"?
Do you believe in Jesus? Jesus often said that the Lord WILL intervene, in the little things and in the great things. Jesus taught us that God is very much involved in our everyday lives. Is Jesus a heretic? Just because some people have a problem understanding suffering and death does not mean that God does not interfere, or that God is not good and just. I'm just trying to understand your logic.
Luke 11:9-10
"So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened."
Luke 18:1-8
Then Jesus told his disciples a parable
to show them that they should always pray and not give up.
He said: "In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared about men.
And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, 'Grant me justice against my adversary.'
"For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, 'Even though I don't fear God or care about men,
yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won't eventually wear me out with her coming!' "
And the Lord said, "Listen to what the unjust judge says.
And
will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?
I tell you,
he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However,
when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"Matthew 6:9-15
"This, then, is how you should pray:
" 'Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And
lead us not into temptation,
but
deliver us from the evil one.
Matthew 21:22
If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."
Matthew 24:20
Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath.
Matthew 26:41
"Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak."
