Punch

To dream that you are punching someone or something, represents hidden anger and aggression. It may also be a symbol of power and your ability to draw strength from within yourself.

To dream that you are unable to throw a punch, indicates that you are feeling helpless. You may have self-esteem and confidence issues.

To dream that you are drinking punch, represents vitality and renewal

looked it up on a dream analysis site..

OK Deedee and Samouri, is there any meaning to a dream where I kept blowing pounds and pounds of cottage cheese out of my left nostril?  There was no end in sight!  :P

what about this one ?

I think first of all, we need to know if it was 4% large curd cottage cheese, and it was painful, or if it was creamed low fat and came out like a waterfall.  ;D

But here's what the dream dic says...

"To see your own nose in your dream, signifies a conscious effort to achieve whatever endeavor you chose to undertake. The nose represents energy, intuition, and wisdom. Alternatively, the nose symbolizes curiosity. You dream may suggest your need to learn more about a situation at hand."

But as Pizzacat says... it's all just neuron firing indiscriminately.  :)

Thanks, I'm writing my thesis in english, so it should be up to par. My grammatical knowledge is quite good, my vocabulary is extensive but will never equal that of most native speakers. The good thing about university is that you get the time to think up really elaborate sentences, riddled with jargon, whilst trying to have it make sense  ;D.  Makes for good practice.

You are German Deedee? seem to have read that somewhere....lots of germans on my faculty (Groningen).

Not so sure about that.  :)

I'm Canadian but the family is German. Sadly my oral capacity is much better than my written German, and even at that is at the level of a 15-year-old. I can ask for a glass of milk, but couldn't discuss anything theoretical to save my life. It's a shande! However, after reading the posts of several very articulate Getbigger Europeans, like you, who seem to speak several languages with ease... have become inspired enough to take on a German course this semester.

ps... good luck with that thesis!

My spoken german is fairly good, my grammatical German sucks, the die, der, den, dasses are all over the place. But that is ussualy of lesser concern when talking, most germans we get in the store I work in are just glad you understand and speak their language...Verdammt, er sprecht Deutsch...

Small curd, not painful but uncomfortable and yes, like a waterfall  :P

lol, yes, the articular gender thing is hard to learn.  Having grown up in Quebec and learning French, which has feminine and masculine, but not neuter, makes it all even more confusing, trying to translate genders back and forth. And strange too, that what's feminine in one language is masculine in another.  Like moon - feminine in Spanish and French, but masculine in German.  Sun is the opposite - Masculine in French and Spanish, but feminine in German. There seems to be no logic behind it whatsoever. That's why it's always a little impressive to meet Europeans who can speak three or four languages without a problem. Seems to happen with much more frequency over there, than here in North America. Probably partially has to do with European countries being much smaller and people traveling more frequently between them.

yeah, the big ol' american melting pot, an ideal gone wrong.

It's funny to see Americans refering to Europe as if it were a big country. There's a new chevrolet that's specially designed for Europe, well yiptidoo!

The gender thing is a true horror, it seems the gender of items is not as clear as it should be.
