I do not believe so.  From what I've read, it is better to avoid citric acid containing beverages (e.g. grapefruit juice) when consuming creatine, as the acids chemically deactivate the creatine.  Regardless, fruit juices would not be the prefereable option because you would want to elevate insulin levels to assist the transport of the creatine into the bloodstream. Fructose (fruit sugar) is a lower glycemic sugar.  Use dextrose or maltodextrine.  If not available, use the powdered form of gatorade which contains (among other sweeteners) dextrose (note: the liquid form of gatorade does not contain dextrose).

Here is a question and answer in which one authority has a different take than my post above (note that he discusses the acidity issue, but not the fructose versus other sugars issue, as such I still say avoid the grapefruit juice/creatine combo):

Question: "Regarding the "how to take it", I've always thought that it was the asorbic acid (vitamin C) in juice that you want to avoid with creatine.  In that case grapefruit juice and orange juice would be  bad but most grape juice would be ok."

Answer: There is nothing wrong with taking creatine with grapefruit juice, orange
juice, or any Vitamin C containing product.  The pH of the stomach is
approximately 2, which is just as acidic, if not more acidic, then these
juices.  If creatine makes it through the stomach just fine, mixing it
briefly into juice is not going to cause any problems.

Much respect to MidnightRambo for a follow-up post quoting an expert that disagrees with his first post...  Nobody on this board knows everything, and it's good when someone isn't affraid to admit it.

Much thanks.  In researching in order to respond to posts, I've learned so much.  It's like completing a homework assignment (with a subject I enjoy).
