Hung is the past tense of hang, obviously. It is to be used for all situations that call for a past tense version of hung except for when you write or talk about a person's death. Then it switches to hanged. People are hanged; animals and things are hung.

But on your Hang/Hung thread you thought it was correct to say "he was hung."

That would only be correct if you meant to say "he was suspended." When speaking of capital punishment, it's correct to say "he was hanged."

ps... hence and whence are spelled with a "c"

i'm using rosetta stone to learn french...dammit..thats one pretentiously cliche language i thought i'd never have 2 learn

i'm back in the gym..i haven't weighed a sliced n diced 220 since 97ish...time ..its about fucking time..i do again..

i'm just easily bored...i used to use alcohol as a means to slow down me friggin thinking all the damn time...

you have no idea how completly exhausting it can be to wanna stop thinking....just so you can sleep...and being helpless and then even dreaming up solutions to problems...i've gotton up and then said to myself "oo that cant be right...thats just f#@ cant be right" then driven to my lab at all wierd hours and tried it..and then thrown up cause it happened to be right...it feels all tingly and nauseating like deja vu...i

now i dont have alkie to help that..and i fucking HATE cardio..guess it'll have to do to get me tire enough to sleep

In the past I have talked shit with this Jodi, but thats one fine avatar. I had a look at her site, there are some pics from the nationals . . . a fine looking bodybuilder and very feminine.

I was very pleased with my national debut as a bodybuilder, but I hope to improve upon my physique and my placing at the Team Universe in New York this July.

Toxie, when I'm dieting for shows, I can't sleep at all. My metabolism races, and my mind is right behind it...thoughts, thoughts everywhere. Even though my body is worn out, my mind isn't, and I have to make myself crawl into bed. Plus, I do my best writing from about 10 p.m. to 3 a.m., but I have to get up early to do cardio and get to work, so reality and fiction always collide in my life. And when my writing wins out, the next day is a pure haze of exhaustion.

you r actually the only one thats been privy to my poems..some published!

and my alcoholic habits started for that reason...i couldn't sleep unless i had a drink...or went jogging for miles n miles..or went and did lap upon lap upon lap..

so i started drinking...most of my essays i have written that i'm proud of have been under a cocaine and alcohol haze..

i
ll never show em to but my closest friends...for "it is the spectator not life that art mirrors" (wilde) and i'm afraid of what i'll end up thinking about them..

Anything to make you smile, GB.

Some of the best artists (writers, musicians, painters, etc.) have been drug or alcohol addicts. Others have suffered from psychotic episodes or depression. Some of my best writing has come when I'm in a depressed spell. I'm so intune with every sense and every thought, and I'm melodramatic, so it comes through in my writing. You have to be able to experience emotional distress at its lowest level and elation at its absolute highest level in order to truly tap into any form of art. At least, that's what I believe.

it ws dickenson that said didn't she...poetry ws an escape from emotion..you put it on paper just so that you didn't have to feel it no more..
