God's Warriors Docu
« on: August 24, 2007, 03:30:07 PM »
There is a series called God's Warriors on Disc. Times. They examine Fundamentalist Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Man many of the fundamentalist Jews are just as bad if not worse than the Muslims. Because they do a lot of their stuff behind the scenes, and too other Jews who don't agree with their agenda.

They just did Christianity last night, and focused on America's fundamentalist Christians (read: wackjobs)

All three have the same thing in common, and it is ignorance and intolerance to those who don't think, act, or look like them.

Maybe if you say the Three part Documentary, you wouldn't put your ignorance on display.

It gave pro and con of both sides of religious fundamentalism, one is no worse than the other,

The reason why I say wackjobs, was because they had this one Christian fundamentalist (forgot his name but he is very popular), that  said that "moderates are what, moderate, it is the right or the left that really have something to say"....Whereas he just contradicted the main tenant of all religions, including Christianity, which is that everything in moderation, with moderation, one can be at peace with one's environment. You know, it's not the drinking, but the drunk-ness, that is a sin, due to the fact that is out of moderation.

You disagree or not?

I couldn't tell you, I watched a little bit, but I work at night, so I had to leave. They had one guy, who was born again, went to Harvard Divinity School, and actually laid the smack down on many of the Christian Fundamentalists. He stated that he was at a function during the first gulf war and there was video of Jets and the American flag, the cross, and God Bless... And people were clapping and crying, and he got up. He said, "when is that God and Jesus were about Jets?" He knew that Many Am Fundamentalist Christians have fallen of the path...

The Jewish one was crazy, they had this guy who was in prison (who has now reformed) he blew up (via car bomb--his group was responsible) three Palestinian governors that they thought participated in an incident, but like GW, he had bad intell, and killed them for nothing.
They focus on the killing of the Israeli Prime Minister by anther Jew, because of the deal with Palestine

Sounds interesting.  Is the series still running?  I'll try to catch it.

It should, it is either on CNN or Disco Times. It has that dark haired British chick from the BBC ( you might have seen her on Nightly News as well) as a reporter. I like her, she has wry wit, at the same time being respectful.

Sorry, my post about the dude from Harvard Divinity School, he never got up in front of the crowd, he was merely stated what he was thinking at the time.

This is why you are hostile toward me?  Oh, okay.  I didn't know that you had such good reason.  If CNN told you so, then you should believe it, because CNN is always right, always tells the truth, is always accurate, does not have an agenda and is never bias.    ::)

Who said I am hostile towards you? Did I say that? No I didn't. Re-read my post before putting words in my mouth.

Have you seen the documentary?

Okay, columbusdude82, just take a deep breath.  Calm down, or you are going to blow your O ring.

Yes, I am hostile to "faith" and "religion," to stupidity and superstition. Are you faith? Or religion? Or stupidity? Or superstition? No you're not.
