I found this in a book by Josh McDowell:

Islam teaches a salvation by works:  "They whose balances shall be heavy shall be blest.  But they whose balances shall be light, they shall lose their soul, abiding in hell forever" (Sura 13:102-140).  Thus if the scale tips in favor of good works, the Muslim will reach paradise, but if this not be the case he will be banished to hell.

Muslims believe concerning the Day of Judgment:

All men will be judged according to their works.

[Good] Muslims will enter paradise (though some must first be purged for their sins); non-Muslims will be condemned forever to a pit of fire.

What is the Christian belief for the route to heaven? There are almost as many of them as there are Christian denominations, and that's alot.

At the simplest level, it's some combination of (Muslim) faith and "good works" (to other Muslims).

Of course, if you actually read the Koran and learn Islamic theology, killing a few Jews, Christians, and infidels helps a great deal.

I wish I remembered the sura and number of that verse that says that the day will come when the Jew (descendent of apes and pigs) will hide behind a tree, and the tree will speak "O Muslim, servant of Allah, there is a Jew hiding behind me, come and kill him." (or very similar words to that effect)

This is the stuff "holy" books are made of.

1.- Learn how to pilot an airplane and then crash it into a big tower
2.- Attach a bomb to the body and run against a place full of kids, screaming ALLAHU AK BAR
3.- Request a visa to USA in the easy way: Drive a truck into an embassy and blow yourself

There are many, CNN is passing them every day rofl

If the subtext behind the question is "How can someone blow up innocent people and go to Heaven?" the answer is complicated. Islam doesn't conceptualize hell as a permanant condition. So... even if a suicide bomber went to hell he/she'd eventually go to heaven after pennance. Not sure about them getting virgins and so on.

from my understanding...unless ya commit an unforgivable sin (murder..rape...i forget the others..those r sins never forvigen) every muslim eventually makes it to heaven..

however not every non muslim goes to hell....that eskimo living a good life but devoid of any religion..gets to go to heaven...

apparently there r 2 angles that sit on each persons shoulders..1 writes all your bad thoughts (deeds) and the other all the good ones and they get weighed against eachother on judgement day..
