Have you ever been tasered?  Or seen someone tasered live?  Ouch!  that's gotta hurt!

In some (most? all?) districts every cop who carries a taser is required to experience being zapped by one (as part of his training in its use) before he is allowed to wield it.

8 times and yes it sucks.but i will take it over OC spray anyday.

OC spray hurts like "7 bitches on a bitch boat",my eyes bled for three day the first time i got sprayed.but with the taser the pain goes away whenever the trigger lets off.

moral of the story= dont get sprayed.

truth be told, cops get the smallest volt setting on the gun, im not saying it's princess like, but when cops taser people it's always on the 50k setting

i dont know were you got that bullshit from,but everytime i got tasered for training it was 50k-60kvolts.

no,thats why i no longer carry one.i am about to stop using OC spray also.i just use my 21" asp baton,which i hope i never have to use because that thing is brutal.

What does the taser feel like?  And while you're at it what does a stun gun feel like?  I admit I'm very curious.  I almost want to try it (the taser) just to find out.  It's gotta be better than being shot, no?

it completely demobilizes you,you loose all function and just fall.the pain isn't really that bad(for me anyway).the worst part is when the paramedics have to pull the prongs out of your skin.


i say if you are curious go ahead and do it.hell if it was that bad i wouldn't have done it 8 times.just for the love of god never get OC sprayed.

I got tasered a few times for training in Corrections CERT.  The worst part was the anticipation as I was going to get shot in the back....and they often liked to take their time.  It hurt but goes away immediately.   Goes away before your mind can really comprehend the actual pain.  Losing control of everything was the worst part...IMO, looks more painful when you see it done to others. Pretty damn effective though.

The OC can be bad, and different people react to it in different ways.  Also depends on the concentration.  I knew of at least one inmate in which the shit would have absolutely no effect on at all.  I've seen reactions ranging from having no effect to the person screaming in agony and running into a parked car(lol).  When I was first sprayed, the worst part was washing the stuff out of my eyes...the shock of the cold water makes it feel as if you are drowning and you cannot breathe.

I got sprayed a few time with OC.. In the military and also working security.. Our rule is if you are packing anything you have to be well trained in the effects of it.. and how to take care of the idiot you just used your equipment on..

I didn't ever really hate the OC to much.. I could still walk and talk it was irritating. But not stop you in your tracks type stuff. At least for me. But I have seen people hit the ground gagging ang crying. The taser really sucks. I would say it feels like a dog biting you.. And you lose all control and fall to the ground.. Pretty funny shit to watch when it's not you...
