UFC 78 Best Fight, KO/Submission Bonuses Revealed
« on: November 19, 2007, 06:23:00 AM »
"The post-fight bonus winners were revealed during the UFC 78 post-fight press conference.

Fight of the Night honors went to Chris Lytle and Thiago Alves, a non-televised preliminary fight that ended in a controversial cut stoppage. Both fighters received $55,000 bonuses in addition to their contracted pay.

Knockout of the Night honors went to Ed Herman, for his third round knockout of tough Canadian Joe Doerksen. Herman received a $55,000 bonus for that big bomb.

And finally, Submission of the Night went to Akihiro Gono, who received a $55,000 bonus for his armbar victory over Tamdan McCrory, also in a non-televised preliminary fight"

great... so fight of the night didnt air! and submission of the night didnt air either!  ::)
those bonuses are starting to get pretty serious though... 55 000 dollars extra like that aint nothing to sneeze at...

Good point. If Dana or whoever can pick the fight of the night immediately following the main event, Rogan & Co. could simply say, 'Folks, stick around because we have a special bonus for you. Tonight's top undercard fight that we are showing as a bonus to our PPV fans."

yes they should do something like that. it would be nice to know how many times we have missed out of those fights but i think its' at least 2 times in a row now when the best hasnt aired.

Or they could fill a show promise with Spike by airing all of the fights of the nights of past that were not aired.?.?.?.
